Veterinary Surgeon

Archer Gateshead is an established, fast-paced ECC clinic operating from a PDSA host practice in the North East. Known for a high-volume and varied caseload across emergency and critical care, this is an excellent environment for clinical development.

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a permanent basis. This full-time role averages 40 hours per week across weekday nights, with a 1:2 weekend commitment. Part-time arrangements can also be considered.

The clinic benefits from excellent public transport links from across the North East.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-opinion consultations, communicating clearly and compassionately with owners.
• Perform routine surgery, dentistry and medical work-ups appropriate to your experience.
• Work closely with RVNs and support staff to maintain safe and efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Registered with, or eligible to register with, the RCVS (MRCVS).
• Confident delivering first-opinion small animal care appropriate to the role.
• A calm, professional and client-focused approach.
