Veterinary Surgeon

Archer Gamston is recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team, located just a 5-minute drive from Nottingham city centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a vet with a surgical and emergency/critical care interest, alongside mentoring responsibility for junior colleagues.

Key Details

• £50,000–£70,000 FTE depending on experience.
• Surgical bias with emergency and critical care experience preferred.
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am–12:00pm).
• No out-of-hours work.
• Mentoring responsibility for junior vets.
• No visa sponsorship available.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-opinion consultations, communicating clearly and compassionately with owners.
• Perform routine surgery, dentistry and medical work-ups appropriate to your experience.
• Work closely with RVNs and support staff to maintain safe and efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Registered with, or eligible to register with, the RCVS (MRCVS).
• Confident delivering first-opinion small animal care appropriate to the role.
• A calm, professional and client-focused approach.
