Veterinary Surgeon

Archer Alsager is recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a standalone, owner-managed practice with a welcoming and supportive culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet seeking a great work-life balance, with no OOH, no Sundays and a varied caseload including exotics.

Key Details

• Up to £60,000 FTE.
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only (9:00am–12:00pm).
• No out-of-hours or Sunday work.
• Standalone, owner-managed practice with Carl, the owner, on-site.
• Exotics seen.
• Autism-friendly practice.
• Experienced vet preferred.
• No visa sponsorship available.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-opinion consultations, communicating clearly and compassionately with owners.
• Perform routine surgery, dentistry and medical work-ups appropriate to your experience.
• Work closely with RVNs and support staff to maintain safe and efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Registered with, or eligible to register with, the RCVS (MRCVS).
• Confident delivering first-opinion small animal care appropriate to the role.
• A calm, professional and client-focused approach.
