Overview

Out of hours night shift work for a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the Wirral area. The booking is 15 nights spread across September to December 2026, starting 25 September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver overnight nursing care to inpatients, including monitoring, medication and fluid therapy
• Triage and stabilise emergency admissions through the night
• Assist the duty vet with out of hours consultations and emergency procedures
• Prepare and monitor anaesthesia for emergency surgery
• Keep accurate clinical records and hand over clearly to the day team

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with current RCVS registration
• Comfortable working night shifts independently
• Emergency and critical care experience preferred
