Occupational Therapist - North London SEN SCHOOL

I wanted to get in touch regarding a fantastic locum opportunity for an Occupational Therapist within a special school setting in North London (N8).

This is an excellent maternity cover role offering the chance to make a real difference to children and young people with special educational needs.

Role Details:
Position: Occupational Therapist (Band 5 or Band 6)
Setting: SEND School
Location: North London (N8)
Hours: 4 days per week or part-time
Start Date: September, ongoing contract
Pay: £30 - £38 per hour, paid weekly every Friday
Requirement: Current HCPC registration is essential

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to pupils with special educational needs
Develop and implement individual therapy programmes to support pupils' access to learning
Provide advice and training to teaching staff and support assistants
Work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team, including SALT and physiotherapy colleagues
Contribute to EHCP reviews and reports

Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration
Paediatric or SEN experience is desirable
Confident working independently within a school setting
Strong communicator with the ability to engage pupils, staff and families
