  • Supporting team wellbeing and development

The service supports adults and their families across a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression and bereavement, alongside trauma, suicidal ideation, safeguarding concerns and complex risk.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re open to different backgrounds. You could already be an experienced Counselling Manager, or a Senior Counsellor, Supervisor or Clinical Lead ready to move into management.

We’re also interested in Counsellors with previous people management experience, even if that experience was gained outside of counselling.

You’ll need:

  • A recognised Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification
  • BACP, NCPS or equivalent professional membership
  • Previous counselling / psychotherapy experience
  • Experience managing people, supervising staff or leading a team
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk
  • Confidence managing performance, KPIs and difficult conversations

What’s on offer:

  • £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, mainly 9am-5pm
  • One weekday 12pm-8pm
  • Occasional weekend cover
  • Contribution towards professional supervision
  • Professional membership support
  • CPD and career development
  • Birthday leave
  • Pension
  • Life insurance
  • Employee wellbeing support

Why apply?

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Counsellor with management experience to take the next step into a formal leadership role, whilst using their counselling background to support and develop a team.

If you’re already a Counselling Manager, Clinical Lead or Supervisor, you’ll also have the opportunity to build on your existing leadership experience within an established and fast-paced counselling service.
