Location: Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh
Contract: Permanent
Salary / Rate: £55,000 - £78,000 per annum
Rota: 4-day week with 1:4 Saturdays and no overnight OOH

Role overview

A client practice in Edinburgh is seeking a veterinary surgeon with surgical bias to support a well-established local caseload. The role is based in a modern private clinic with orthopaedic equipment and dedicated theatre time. The rota is 4-day week with 1:4 Saturdays and no overnight OOH.

Practice profile

Key responsibilities

  • Manage routine and selected advanced surgical cases within your skill set
  • Plan anaesthesia and recovery with the nursing team
  • Support case continuity from admission through discharge
  • Share knowledge with colleagues where surgical interests can benefit the team

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration or eligibility to register with the RCVS
  • Confidence with first-opinion clinical work appropriate to the role
  • A calm, professional approach with clients, colleagues and patients
  • Interest in building longer-term relationships with clients and the wider practice team
