Location: Kirkwall, Orkney Islands
Contract: Permanent
Salary / Rate: £48,000 - £75,000 per annum
Rota: flexible rota with practical on-call support and relocation discussion available

Practice profile

Key responsibilities

  • Provide practical small animal consults and routine surgery
  • Support farm, equine or smallholder clients depending on practice demand
  • Balance clinical autonomy with strong communication and safe handovers
  • Keep accurate records across a varied rural caseload

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration or eligibility to register with the RCVS
  • Confidence with first-opinion clinical work appropriate to the role
  • A calm, professional approach with clients, colleagues and patients
  • Interest in building longer-term relationships with clients and the wider practice team
