Archer Resourcing are looking for skilled, hard-working Support Workers to join the team in North Somerset!

This position does not require personal care.

Role and Responsibilities

  • The role will be to deliver 1:1 and core support to support young adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and/or mental health needs.
  • This role is about support our young service users towards becoming more independent and self-sufficient with a key focus on wellbeing and good mental health.
  • We are looking for those who can offer our young service users a role model in leading a proactive and healthy life they can enjoy.
  • Support with day-to-day needs including cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Encouragement to maintain good personal hygiene
  • To provide an emotionally secure, supportive, homely and caring environment, appropriate to the social, cultural and religious needs of all the people we support in the home.
  • Support with managing tenancy, benefits, and finances
  • Support to access the community & participation in community projects
  • Support with medication (where required)
  • Support to access GP and other health appointments
  • Support to live & maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • Support with accessing education and employment
  • Overnight support (sleep-in) when required
  • To maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the supported living environment

Candidates for Substance Misuse Recovery Workers requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS. Dated within the last 12 months– on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
  • 1+ years experience as a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is advantageous
