Care Worker – Elderly Care
Shetland Islands (community-based and/or residential settings)
£18 – £22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts available
(Include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required)
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to elderly individuals living in the Shetland Islands, enabling them to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life within their own homes or care settings.
Must be a Driver and willing to take your car upto Shetland
Assist service users with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Support with eating and drinking, including meal preparation where required
Assist with medication administration in line with care plans and training
Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing
Encourage social interaction and participation in daily activities
Build trusting, respectful relationships with service users and their families
Monitor and report changes in physical or mental health
Support individuals with long-term conditions, dementia, or age-related illnesses
Follow care plans accurately and contribute to reviews when needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
Adhere to safeguarding policies, health & safety guidelines, and confidentiality requirements
Work in line with Care Inspectorate standards and organisational policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and family members
Attend training, supervision, and team meetings as required
