Senior Power Platform Developer

Role Overview:

The London Borough of Bexley is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer (Service Pack Lead) to provide expert technical leadership in the design, development, and continuous enhancement of Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This role is critical to consolidating Finance, HR, Contracts, Risk, and Service performance data into intuitive Power Apps and analytical dashboards. The objective is to empower decision-makers with actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, inform transformation efforts, and provide evidence-based performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of "Service Packs" using Microsoft Power Platform to consolidate and visualize key performance and operational data.
• Design and implement user-friendly Power Apps and dashboards tailored to the needs of diverse stakeholders across the Council.
• Support the creation of a management information suite to spotlight and support transformation initiatives.
• Deliver solutions that enable data-driven decision-making in areas such as:
  • Process efficiency and customer engagement
  • Channel shift and digital transformation
  • Contract management and compliance
  • Financial spend control and analysis
  • HR intelligence and workforce planning
  • Risk and change management
  • Income analysis and costing of traded services
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic priorities and business requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
• Strong experience in developing enterprise-level dashboards and applications.
• Excellent data integration and transformation skills across multiple business domains.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable visual insights.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in local government or public sector environments is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

This is a vacant post within the Chief Executives Directorate and is being offered through interim/agency arrangements. The role is Inside IR35 and based onsite at Bexley Civic Offices.
