Power Platform Developer

A local council is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to play a key role in designing and delivering digital solutions that support service transformation and improve outcomes for residents. This role will focus on the development of a Digital Contract Management System for the Children and Adults Commissioning team and work in close collaboration with both service area stakeholders and the Technology and Digital Services team.

This is a hands-on development role with a clear focus: delivering user-focused, sustainable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and the Modern Data Platform. The successful candidate will help drive the council’s broader PowerApps adoption and support service areas through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions using Microsoft Power Platform—including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Collaborate with the Children and Adults Systems Team (ChAd) to ensure seamless transition of the solution into business-as-usual support and management.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows, and design user-centric digital solutions.
• Implement solutions that align with best practices in low-code development, data security, and Microsoft cloud architecture.
• Contribute to the wider adoption and capability-building around Power Platform within the council.
• Document technical specifications, solution architecture, and support guidance.

Experience & Skills Required:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Strong understanding of low-code solution design, data modeling, and workflow automation.
• Experience working within public sector environments or on service transformation projects is desirable.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into functional, scalable applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and the Modern Data Platform.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.
