Salary / Rate: £450 - £600 per day
Rota: ambulatory equine locum blocks with seasonal visits and supported on-call

Role overview

We are looking to speak with veterinary professionals interested in a locum equine veterinary surgeon opportunity in Inverness. The role is based in a Highland equine team looking for practical field-vet support. The rota is ambulatory equine locum blocks with seasonal visits and supported on-call.

Practice profile

Key responsibilities

  • Provide ambulatory equine consultations and routine procedures
  • Support lameness, dentistry, vaccination and emergency cases within your skill set
  • Build strong relationships with leisure and performance horse clients
  • Maintain practical clinical records and clear follow-up plans

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration or eligibility to register with the RCVS
  • Confidence with first-opinion clinical work appropriate to the role
  • A calm, professional approach with clients, colleagues and patients
  • Availability for agreed locum dates and confidence working in a new practice environment
