Location: Hereford, Herefordshire
Contract: Permanent
Salary / Rate: £47,000 - £72,000 per annum
Rota: mixed rota with regular farm visits, small animal consults and shared on-call support

Role overview

A client practice in Hereford is seeking a farm and small animal veterinary surgeon to support a well-established local caseload. The role is based in a rural practice with strong agriculture links and loyal companion animal clients. The rota is mixed rota with regular farm visits, small animal consults and shared on-call support.

Practice profile

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver small animal consultations and routine procedures
  • Support farm clients with herd health, fertility and preventative care
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and farm colleagues
  • Help maintain responsive, pragmatic rural veterinary care

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration or eligibility to register with the RCVS
  • Confidence with first-opinion clinical work appropriate to the role
  • A calm, professional approach with clients, colleagues and patients
  • Interest in building longer-term relationships with clients and the wider practice team
