Job description

As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing evidence-based treatment to individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues, including trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and more. Your expertise in EMDR, CBT, and DBT will be instrumental in facilitating healing and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of clients to identify presenting issues, treatment goals, and appropriate interventions.
  • Developing individualised treatment plans based on clients' needs, incorporating EMDR, CBT, and DBT techniques as appropriate.
  • Providing evidence-based therapy to clients utilising EMDR, CBT, and DBT modalities to address trauma, maladaptive thought patterns, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties.
  • Collaborating with clients to set achievable treatment goals and regularly monitor progress towards these goals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures, in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participating in regular supervision and case consultations to ensure the highest quality of care and ongoing professional development.
  • Staying informed about advancements in EMDR, CBT, and DBT research and best practices, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to provide comprehensive care to clients.

Requirements:

  • Degree in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure as a therapist.
  • Certification in EMDR therapy from an accredited training program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field of psychotherapy.
