Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Contract: Permanent
Salary / Rate: £60,000 - £85,000 per annum
Rota: weekend-inclusive ECC rota with time off in lieu and clear handover processes

A client practice in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a ecc veterinary surgeon to support a well-established local caseload. The role is based in a emergency-ready small animal hospital serving practices across the North East. The rota is weekend-inclusive ECC rota with time off in lieu and clear handover processes.

Practice profile

Key responsibilities

  • Triage urgent cases and create practical treatment plans
  • Support inpatient monitoring, stabilisation and handover
  • Communicate clearly with clients during emergency situations
  • Contribute to safe, efficient out-of-hours workflows

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration or eligibility to register with the RCVS
  • Confidence with first-opinion clinical work appropriate to the role
  • A calm, professional approach with clients, colleagues and patients
  • Interest in building longer-term relationships with clients and the wider practice team
