Job description

As an Adult Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting the needs of adults in the Manchester area. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised care and support plans that promote independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' strengths, needs, and risks.
  • Developing and implementing person-centred care plans in collaboration with service users and their support networks.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to individuals, addressing social, emotional, and practical aspects of their lives.
  • Advocating for and coordinating access to appropriate community resources, services, and benefits.
  • Promoting social inclusion and community engagement to enhance the quality of life for individuals.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, community organisations, and local authorities.
  • Responding effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and initiating appropriate crisis management protocols.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Relevant experience in adult social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional development and staying abreast of changes in social work practice.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
