About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Substance Misuse Recovery Workers to join a busy community-based service in Newham. This is an immediate start opportunity, ideal for experienced professionals looking to make a real impact supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users with varying substance misuse needs

• Complete assessments and develop personalised recovery plans

• Deliver structured one-to-one interventions and harm reduction advice

• Support service users through their treatment and recovery journey

• Work closely with partner agencies including healthcare, housing, and criminal justice services

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements

• Previous experience working within substance misuse services or a similar health and social care setting

• Strong understanding of recovery-focused approaches and harm reduction

• Excellent communication and engagement skills

• Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively

Essential

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

• Availability for an immediate start
