Job description
Working as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working to deliver a high quality speech and language therapy service to children and young people to maximise their communication potential.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of speech and language therapy processes and skills.
- Performing clinical assessments of AAC needs.
- Continually keeping up to date with professional development.
- Being clinically responsible for the management of an identified caseload.
- Setting targets for therapy and monitoring progress.
- Facilitating clinical discussions.
- Contributing to the evaluation and monitoring of services.
Requirements:
- Speech and Language Therapy Qualification.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs.
- Thorough knowledge of clinical practise, policies and issues related to the delivery of speech and language therapy services.
- Excellent communication ability.
