Job description
As a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services. This role encompasses clinical supervision, mentorship, and active participation in the development and implementation of innovative therapy programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Offering guidance on complex cases and contributing to the development of evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Facilitating regular team meetings to discuss clinical cases, share best practices, and enhance collaborative working.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing specialised interventions for clients with complex communication and swallowing needs.
- Providing consultation to team members, families, and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of Speech and Language Therapy services.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
Requirements:
- Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Significant post-qualification experience in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
