The Role A Clinical Psychologist position that strengthens clinical governance and QA systems, split into two focuses:
- Clinical Practice (~2 days/week): Psychological assessments and trauma-informed interventions for children, adolescents and young adults with complex emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. Includes ADOS administration, MDS and outcome measures, MDT diagnostic work, clinical documentation, family support and supervision of trainees/junior staff.
- Clinical Quality & Governance (~3 days/week): Leading the clinical quality and effectiveness programme, overseeing internal and external audits, developing QA frameworks and policies, monitoring KPIs, promoting evidence-based practice, ensuring CQC compliance and supporting inspections. Works closely with Clinical Leads, the Academy Lead and senior leadership.
Essential Requirements
- Experienced Clinical Psychologist with a strong background in diagnostic assessment using standardised tools, ideally in a scaling organisation
- Current HCPC registration (or equivalent, e.g. Social Work England)
- Proven experience in clinical governance, QA or audit, including leading audit and effectiveness programmes
- Solid understanding of CQC guidelines and regulatory expectations
- Commitment to CPD and neuro-affirming practice
- Strong communication and influencing skills
Desirable
- Service improvement methodology experience (QI, Lean)
- Specialist trauma therapy training
