Mental Health Social Worker

Working as a Mental Health Social Worker, you will be playing a critical role in improving the overall wellbeing within the local community. You will be working in effective partnerships with vulnerable individuals to help them live fulfilling and independent lives.

‍Responsibilities:

• Using local knowledge and professional experience to make decisions that uphold autonomy whilst recognizing the social work role for safe intervention
• Ensuring assessments are accurate and service users are able to self-direct the assessment process and make informed decisions
• Playing a role within a range of multi-agency teams to ensure co-ordinated, appropriate assessments and support that remain person-centred and enable users to maintain their independence
• Providing users with appropriate levels of support whilst further ensuring that the user and council receive best value for money and that services

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree
• Registration with Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS, dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
• Full U.K driving licence and access to own vehicle is advantageous
