Job description

Working as the Head of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for the quality and standards of care delivered in the service in line with the standards of the CQC or relevant statutory bodies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing the care team to ensure the delivery of care meets quality standards from commissioners and any other statutory bodies.
  • Taking a clinical lead on the transformation, change and improvement of existing services and ways of working.
  • Taking an active role in the development and implementation of new community-orientated services in response to service demands and needs.
  • Ensuring that record keeping is of the highest standards and meets all statutory and professional requirements.
  • Maintaining strong staff engagement and, where appropriate, support through a variety of structures.
  • Working closely with other areas of the organisation including fundraising, marketing and policy/campaigns by providing information and analysis to support the delivery of the organisational strategy.
  • Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the service.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks.

Requirements:

  • Nursing degree and registration with the NMC.
  • Relevant management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • The ability to meet the requirements of CQC/CI Registered Manager status within an agreed reasonable time period.
  • Extensive relevant clinical experience with demonstrable management, supervision and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of current issues in independent sector, organisational policy and national legislation and key policy drivers.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS, dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
