Location: Manchester (On-site)
Salary: £36,000 to £39,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Overview
An established and growing mental health service is seeking an EMDR Therapist to join their Manchester-based team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver focused, structured therapy to adults presenting with a range of emotional and psychological needs, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and work-related stress.
You will be working within a time-limited model, supporting clients to achieve meaningful outcomes within a defined number of sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver EMDR therapy to adult clients presenting with trauma and related difficulties
- Provide structured, goal-oriented, time-limited interventions
- Conduct initial assessments, including risk and safeguarding considerations
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aligned to client needs
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records
- Manage a varied caseload effectively within agreed timeframes
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support positive client outcomes
Requirements
- Recognised counselling or psychotherapy qualification (Level 4 or above)
- Membership with a recognised professional body such as BACP, UKCP, or BABCP
- EMDR training (Part 1 minimum, Part 2 desirable)
- Experience supporting adults with trauma, anxiety, and depression
- Confident in delivering brief, structured therapeutic interventions
- Strong understanding of risk management and safeguarding
