EDMR Therapist

Salary: £35,000–£39,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced counselling professional to manage an in-person client caseload using a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach. You will also support clients who need more intensive psychological interventions, such as CBT or EMDR. This role is suitable for candidates who are BACP accredited or working towards accreditation and hold, or are completing, higher-level qualifications in CBT or EMDR.

You will provide immediate emotional support and guidance to clients in-person and via our 24/7 helpline, completing clinical assessments, risk assessments, and signposting as needed, always working in line with the BACP code of ethics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, in-person counselling sessions using a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach.

• Support high-intensity cases requiring CBT or EMDR interventions.

• Work confidently with clients presenting a variety of issues, including distress, risk, or safeguarding concerns.

• Provide immediate support and guidance where needed, completing risk assessments and making appropriate referrals.

What We’re Looking For

• BACP accredited or working towards accreditation.

• Trained in CBT or EMDR, or working towards advanced-level qualifications.

• Experience in EAP, counselling, or in-person therapy settings.

• Comfortable with computer-based tasks (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
