Job description
As a Children's Speech and Language Therapist you will be working with individual's facing a range of educational needs in their educational settings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's speech and language abilities.
- Developing and implementing customised therapy plans to address individual educational needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to therapy.
- Providing targeted interventions to support speech and language development.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of therapy interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and coordinate overall student support.
- Staying current with best practices and research in the field of speech and language therapy.
- Providing training and support to educational staff and parents as needed.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes effective communication skills.
Requirements:
- Speech and Language Therapy Degree
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and learning.
