PMVA Training Course

With the growing demand for Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression training, we’ve developed a course to equip healthcare staff with vital skills for safe and compassionate care. Covering de-escalation techniques, safe restraint, and behaviour management, our program offers sessions throughout 2025 to meet the needs of busy teams and ensure professional, respectful handling of challenging situations.

What is PMVA Training?

PMVA training is a specialised program tailored for healthcare professionals, support staff, and anyone working in environments where they may face aggressive or challenging behaviours. This essential training equips individuals with the skills and strategies needed to handle potentially violent situations safely and effectively, prioritising both safety and respect.

Why is PMVA training important?

PMVA training is essential in healthcare and social care settings because it equips staff with the skills needed to handle aggressive or violent situations safely and effectively. Working in environments such as mental health facilities, hospitals, and emergency departments, individuals are more likely to encounter challenging behaviours. PMVA training helps them understand how to de-escalate situations, assess risks, and apply safe restraint techniques only when necessary. This reduces the risk of injury for both staff and patients, promotes a respectful and compassionate approach, and ultimately creates a safer, more supportive environment for everyone involved.
