Overview

A new luxury private surgical hospital is opening in Cheshire, close to Knutsford and Altrincham, on 1 December 2026. The unit has one operating theatre running general anaesthetic lists, a recovery area and three inpatient beds, alongside an established aesthetics clinic.

Work is planned elective surgery, including cosmetic and plastic procedures, starting at around three cases a day and building to around 30 a week. Shifts are booked roughly a week in advance. We are building a small, consistent bank of staff so patients see familiar faces. Every candidate is screened by us, then has a short video call with the clinical manager before booking, and completes the clinic induction (video tour, policies and procedures) before their first shift.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative admission and assessment of day case and overnight surgical patients
• Post-operative ward care across three inpatient beds, including observations, pain management, wound and drain care
• Recognising and escalating the deteriorating patient (bleeding, airway compromise, sepsis)
• Safe day case discharge, including discharge advice and follow-up arrangements
• Working as the senior, and at times only, registered nurse on site, using sound clinical judgement
• Accurate documentation in line with CQC standards and clinic policy

Requirements

• Live NMC registration with no conditions
• Strong post-registration surgical experience (surgical ward, day surgery or theatres, not medical wards)
• Cosmetic or plastic surgery experience desirable
• Confident working as the most senior or only registered nurse on shift
• ILS in date (ALS desirable)
• Enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK, two professional references, mandatory training and immunisations in date (or willing to complete with us)
