Overview

A new luxury private surgical hospital is opening in Cheshire, close to Knutsford and Altrincham, on 1 December 2026. The unit has one operating theatre running general anaesthetic lists, a recovery area and three inpatient beds, alongside an established aesthetics clinic.

Work is planned elective surgery, including cosmetic and plastic procedures, starting at around three cases a day and building to around 30 a week. Shifts are booked roughly a week in advance. We are building a small, consistent bank of staff so patients see familiar faces. Every candidate is screened by us, then has a short video call with the clinical manager before booking, and completes the clinic induction (video tour, policies and procedures) before their first shift.

Responsibilities

• Receiving patients from theatre after general anaesthetic and sedation
• Airway management and post-anaesthetic monitoring until patients meet discharge criteria
• Managing post-operative pain, nausea and complications, escalating to the anaesthetist and surgeon
• Clear handover to the ward nurse and keeping patient flow moving through the list
• Following WHO and clinic safety procedures

Requirements

• Live NMC registration with no conditions
• Recent post-anaesthetic care (recovery) experience, NHS or private
• Confident managing airways and post-GA patients independently
• Cosmetic or plastic surgery experience desirable
• ILS in date (ALS desirable)
• Enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK, two professional references, mandatory training and immunisations in date (or willing to complete with us)
