About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Opiate Recovery Worker to join a community-based Substance Misuse service in Lewisham. This is an immediate start opportunity, working with individuals affected by opiate dependency to support their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users with opiate dependency

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop tailored recovery plans

• Deliver structured one-to-one interventions and harm reduction advice

• Support service users through treatment, including prescribing pathways where appropriate

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements

• Previous experience working within substance misuse services, particularly with opiate caseloads

• Strong understanding of harm reduction and recovery-focused approaches

• Excellent communication and caseload management skills

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Essential

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

• Availability for an immediate start
