We are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a well-established community drug and alcohol service based in Barnet. This role offers the opportunity to support individuals on their recovery journey and make a meaningful impact within the local community.
Managing a caseload of service users with drug and/or alcohol support needs
Completing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans
Delivering structured interventions and harm reduction advice
Supporting individuals with detox and recovery pathways, including referrals to Tier 4 services where appropriate
Working collaboratively with health professionals, housing providers, and social services
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with organisational and safeguarding policies
Supporting service users to access wider services such as housing, employment, and mental health support
Previous experience working within a substance misuse or recovery service
Experience managing a caseload of service users
Strong understanding of harm reduction, safeguarding, and recovery-focused practice
Ability to complete assessments, care plans, and risk management documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months or registered on the DBS Update Service
Experience working within community drug and alcohol services
Knowledge of local treatment systems and referral pathways
Experience supporting clients with dual diagnosis or complex needs
