Homeless Prevention Coordinator

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the delivery of services in a timely and proactive way, to ensure that they are well coordinated, embed a culture of customer focus, innovation, drive continuous improvement and deliver value for money.
  • Leading with the direction and support of your manager existing, develop, and manage new partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders and customers including politicians.
  • Managing through contracts and service delivery the of move-on accommodation that achieves  independence for people and meets the Council’s prevention objectives.
  • Maintaining close working with the Rough Sleeping (Accommodation) team to manage rapid move-on delivery supporting proactive interventions and rapid response delivery by providers and commissioned services.
  • Undertaking a range of duties that deliver partnership working, including acting as an effective ambassador and advocate with external organisations.
  • Maintaining with the Manager that all activities within the service comply with council effective management systems and operate within the service area to manage performance and risk.
  • Upholding and promoting the aims of the council’s equality and diversity policies to ensure non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work, and that diversity is embedded in everything, from workforce planning and policy planning to planning service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience, evidenced by a track record of success, leading and developing a significant organisational function or service in a large multi-disciplined organisation with comparable scope, budgets and resources.
  • Ability to analyse financial and performance information, understand the business context and extract key facts to deliver improvement and opportunities.
  • Ability to provide leadership and delivery of change with the passion and drive to take services to the next level.
  • Evidence  of continued professional, managerial and personal development.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
