Job description
We are currently recruiting a Cook to join the catering team at Sheppey Community Hospital in Kent, with shifts available from this week and ongoing weekly work after that.
This is a great opportunity for a cook who wants a calmer kitchen than hospitality, with every shift finished by 3pm and no late nights.

Role Details:
- Role: Cook (Hotel Services Catering Team)
- Location: Community Hospital, Sittingbourne, Kent - ME10 4DT
- Shift times: 07:45 am to 3:00 pm
- Start dates available: 13th to 16th August and 19th to 23rd August
- Ongoing: Weekly flexible shifts after that, take what suits you
- Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour via umbrella (around £123 per shift, £492 per week for 4 days, £1968 per month)
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
- Able to follow written recipes and work well within a team
- Prepare and cook meals for patients, staff and visitors to recipe and portion standards
- Support specialist meals including soft diets, diabetic, allergen free and cultural or religious requirements
- Record temperatures and complete food safety documentation
- Assist with meal service to wards and the dining area, plus stock rotation and cleaning routines<
