CAMHS Practitoner - Chelmsford

Job description

I am currently supporting a CAMHS service based in Chelmsford who are looking to appoint 2 x Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners for an immediate start on a three month contract with the view to extend.

Role: CAMHS Practitioner Band 6
Location: Chelmsford CM1 1QH
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, full time, office based only
Pay Rates:
Monday to Friday standard rate £26.96 per hour via umbrella
Saturday £34.68 per hour
Sunday and bank holiday £42.41 per hour

Contract: Three month initial contract with potential for ongoing work

Key Responsibilities:
• Triage and make decisions on suitability of new referrals in line with service referral protocols
• Manage System1 tasks on a daily basis including learning disability referrals, eating disorder referrals, SPA referrals and transfers of care
• Provide advice, support and guidance to children and young people and their families
• Undertake initial assessments when required at short notice
• Complete risk assessments for young people awaiting assessment where presentation has deteriorated
• Deliver short term support and containment strategies for families awaiting assessment or treatment
• Determine suitability for interventions including group and individual work based on clinical assessment
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies including education, health, social care and voluntary sector
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with service standards and governance requirements
• Ensure the voice of the child or young person is central to all care planning
