Band 6 Podiatrist

Job description

As a Band 6 Podiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality podiatric care to individuals within the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments of patients' conditions, including biomechanical, dermatological, and vascular assessments.
  • Formulating accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings.
  • Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans for patients, incorporating a range of podiatric interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic patient records in compliance with relevant standards and policies.
  • Ensuring thorough documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient communications.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, orthopaedic specialists, and diabetes care teams, to ensure integrated and patient-centred care.
  • Staying informed about the latest developments in podiatry, attending relevant training and workshops, and engaging in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Podiatry.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in podiatry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
