Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a committed team for the summer term.

Working as a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the Year 2 curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to create a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the Year 2 curriculum, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and independent thinking.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and educational programs.
  • Establishing effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a timely manner.
  • Organising and participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies, creating a respectful and supportive classroom culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a focus on Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Enthusiasm for incorporating technology into the classroom.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
