We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Full-Time Geography and Humanities Teacher to join a dedicated team in Chichester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and effective instruction to help students achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in Geography and other Humanities subjects that align with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, curiosity, and a love of learning.
- Using a variety of teaching methods and resources to address diverse learning needs and styles.
- Developing and administering assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborating with colleagues in the Humanities department to share best practices, resources, and teaching methodologies.
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance, including grades and attendance.
- Engaging with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and participate in parent-teacher meetings as required.
- Staying updated with developments in Geography and other Humanities subjects to ensure that the curriculum reflects current trends and knowledge.
- Participating in extracurricular activities and school events related to Geography and Humanities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board requirements for Geography and other Humanities subjects.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
