Package

£15.00 per hour (£28,080 to £37,440 a year), 36 to 48 hours per week, permanent PAYE. Paid annual leave, pension contributions, free in-house DMI physical intervention training, free mandatory training and ongoing development.

Overview

A specialist complex care provider is recruiting permanent Senior Support Workers across Yorkshire, with services in Doncaster, Sheffield, Hull, Huddersfield, Harrogate, Wakefield, Bradford, Leeds. You will support teenagers and young adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge, most living in their own homes with 2:1 to 4:1 staffing.

Responsibilities

• Act as the experienced lead on shift within a 2:1 to 4:1 staff team
• Guide, support and informally supervise colleagues
• Lead the response to incidents, including safe physical intervention
• Work to PBS plans, risk assessments and DoLS requirements
• Complete incident reports and support debriefs

Requirements

• Significant experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
• Hands-on physical intervention or restraint experience
• Experience supporting or supervising other support staff
• Understanding of DoLS, safeguarding and incident management
• Physical intervention training (DMI preferred, PMVA or similar considered)
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
