Job Description

Archer Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join a substance misuse service in Croydon.

This role involves supporting individuals within the criminal justice system who are experiencing drug and alcohol-related difficulties. You will help service users engage with treatment, address the factors contributing to offending behaviour and work towards sustainable recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users involved in the criminal justice system.
• Complete assessments and develop individualised recovery plans.
• Deliver one-to-one interventions and ongoing recovery support.
• Support individuals to access drug and alcohol treatment services.
• Work collaboratively with probation services, courts, prisons, police and other relevant agencies.
• Identify risks, safeguarding concerns and barriers to recovery.
• Promote harm reduction, relapse prevention and positive lifestyle changes.
• Support service users with housing, mental health, employment and other social needs.
• Maintain accurate case notes, assessments and client records.
• Monitor progress and encourage engagement with treatment and rehabilitation programmes.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within substance misuse, criminal justice or a related support service.
• Understanding of drug and alcohol dependency and recovery pathways.
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and confidentiality.
• Strong communication, organisational and case management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
